The session will begin at 5:30 pm, with interventions by Aquilino Machado, the grandson of the writer, Paulo Neto, editor of Aquilino magazine, and José António Borges, president of the Alvalade Town Council in Lisbon, which has the author as protagonist, this year, within the scope of the "Alvalade Capital da Leitura" initiative.
It will also be presented the new edition of "Lands of Demo", which marks the centenary of the publication of the work.
Aquilino Ribeiro was born in Sernancelhe in 1885 and died in Lisbon in 1963. After 25 April he was reinstated posthumously in the National Library and decorated with the Order of Liberty.
