Between January and December, 180 thousand houses were sold, an increase of 15% to 20% compared to the previous year, which translates into 25 thousand more than in 2017.
According to estimates by Dinheiro Vivo and the Association of Professionals and Real Estate Mediation Companies of Portugal (APEMIP), up to September, 132 thousand houses were sold. By day, it is estimated that 500 homes were sold in Portugal.
Since 2009 there were no such figures, a phenomenon also referred to by real estate companies and confirmed by the increase in the granting of housing loans by banks, which reached 8.9 billion euros in November.
The forecast by the companies for the publication is that this rate continues to increase, as well as prices since in the penultimate month of last year the valuation of homes reached 1215 euros per square meter, a record high.
