Lisbon Local accommodation increased since the approval of the new law

Since July, the month of approval of the diploma in Parliament, the number of new applications more than doubled in the capital compared to the same period last year.

According to the newspaper "Público", the new records of AL are located in the parishes of Príncipe Real, Bica and Graça, corresponding to the historic center. In total, the city currently has 16,896 local accommodation for tourists, which represents 21.4% of the country. October was the month with the highest number of registrations in the last two years (1,297), at the rate of 145 requests per day.

However, the suspension of new licenses that the local authority intends to implement can only take place at the end of the month, because it is necessary to formalize the containment zones - and this could only be done after the entry into force of the law.
