A new study by the Lisbon Tourism Association has found that the vast majority of residents in the capital are ‘happy’ with tourism in the city.

The Intercampus study found almost 90 percent of Lisbon residents feel that tourism in the region is positive, and ‘helps improve the city and the country’s image’ overseas. A total of 69 percent of respondents said Lisbon would be worse off without its current level of tourism, while 89 percent said it is a privilege to live in the Portuguese capital.
