AUGUST TOURISM REVENUE BROKEN RECORD

Last August, tourism exports again hit a record high of 2,983.07 million euros, which was about 5.9% or 166.24 million euros above the value recorded in the same month of the year. last year, when tourism revenues had reached 2,816.83 million euros, according to figures revealed this Thursday, October 17, by the Bank of Portugal (BdP).

According to the Bank of Portugal, the amount recorded in the main tourist month of the year, which corresponds to the spending of foreign tourists in Portugal, is also much higher than in July, when revenues from the tourism sector totaled 2,274. € 98 million, representing an increase of over € 708 million or over 31.1%.
