In April, Lisbon is a celebration - of memory and freedom

In 2019 is celebrated 45 years of 25 of April of 1974 and the program "April in Lisbon", that the EGEAC develops several years, it will not pass next to the event. It even gives you a great highlight, including on the menu a concert by Fausto, an exhibition of photographs of the Revolution by Alfredo Cunha, a memorial to prisoners and persecuted politicians, and a cycle of conversations about LGBTI rights, among others.

As has been customary in previous years, Freedom Day will be particularly celebrated in the Aljube Museum, which celebrates four years of existence. There will be concerts, recitation of poetry and staged visits, but the highlight is the "Days of Memory" initiative, which has been repeated since its inauguration, in partnership with the Institute of Contemporary History of the New University of Lisbon.
