The wine region of Lisbon was chosen by the American reference magazine 'Wine Enthusiast' as one of the 10 best wine destinations to be visited this year in the world, thanks to the unique characteristics that enhance the diversity of grape varieties present in the region.
"Lisbon thus becomes the only capital of the world with a wine region of such size and quality that they will be able to distinguish this calibre and tourism in the city will also have contributed to the inclusion in the top 10 of the best wine destinations in the world, according to a CVR Lisbon statement.
Lauren Mowery refers to the typical castes of the Lisbon region, such as Ramisco, Malvasia, or Bucelas Arinto, but also the more 'national' castes of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz.
