Porto leads house prices up 24.7% in the second quarter

The prices that the houses are being sold in Portugal continue to grow at a good pace, according to data detailed by municipality today published by the National Statistics Institute.

The median price of family housing in Portugal increased by 8.15% in the second. However, the upward trend in house prices differs from region to region, and in the second quarter the municipality of Porto, which in this period returned to occupy the second place in the ranking of the most expensive cities in the country in relation to real estate it concerns. House prices in Porto soared 24.7% in the second quarter. Lisbon continues to be the most expensive city in the country, with an increase of 23.4% over the same period and is now almost three times higher than the national average.

Growth in the two largest cities in the country shows that the upward trend in house prices in Portugal increased in the second quarter, as rates of increase in the first quarter were also significant but slightly lower.
