Sesimbra Maritime Museum named European Museum of the Year

The Sesimbra Maritime Museum is nominated for the European Museum of the Year award, the winner of which will be announced in May in Cardiff, Wales. The Sesimbra Maritime Museum is the only Portuguese museum in a list of 61 nominees, says an institutional sourced from the municipality of Sesimbra.

The European Museum of the Year Award, awarded by the European Museum Forum, was established over 40 years ago to recognize cases of excellence in European museology and is currently the most prestigious award given by the Forum.
