Classical music, tempered with sounds typical of rock and jazz, will be taken by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul (OCS), directed by maestro Rui Pinheiro and accompanied by cellist Paulo Gaio Lima, to the Cultural Center of Lagos, this Friday, at 9:00 p.m. The concert "Between Pop and Classical" is another FIMA initiative and will launch the program of the last month of the International Music Festival of Algarve.
The OCS, which organizes the festival with the support of "365 Algarve", invited Paulo Gaio Lima, a Portuguese cellist with a vast curriculum and a long-established international career, as well as with edited work.

An orchestra divided in two: a classical one - with the elegance of the woodwind and the cello, another a jazz combo - with guitar, bass electric and drums, "the orchestra described.
In the evening's performance, the works "Suite nº 2 for String Orchestra (pro Hermetto)" by Carlos Garcia, "Le Boeuf sur le toit" by Milhaud, and "Concert for Cello" by F. Gulda, who was "one of the most respected classical pianists and on the other hand, an extraordinary jazz musician who partnered with Chick Corea, Emerson, Lake & Palmer and wrote works such as" Piano Variations on a Doors Theme ".
