Tourism is one of the most important assets of the national economy. Data from the National Institute of Statistics for 2018 are expressive of this.

This is indeed a solidified, dynamic and highly adaptable sector. It is, above all, a sector whose potential is far from being exhausted and which still has room to grow. The World Travel & Tourism Council estimates the growth of tourism around 5.3% in 2019, more than twice the European average, which reaches 2.5%.

To speak of Algarve is to speak of sun, beach but it is also to speak of land with a huge biological and landscape diversity.
