The municipal tax will be heavily exacerbated for buildings devolved more than two years ago when putting the urban pressure centers, which is the same as say in the city centers, in a measure that aims to increase supply in the market.
According to the State Budget proposal (OE) for 2019, the Government is authorized to increase the IMI rate "to the six-fold, aggravated, in each subsequent year, by another 10%".
The increase referred to has a maximum value limit of 12 times the expected rate, which varies between the minimum of 0.3% and 0.45%. So far, these figures can be applied in triplicate in the case of uninhabited properties. The surplus of the IMI rate is an application of real estate returns to municipalities, specific to finance housing policies.
Still on IMI, a preliminary proposal, not confirmed in the document between the AR, provided for changes in the fractionation of the value and no payment schedule. IMI, which is also known as insurance Mortágua, remains, contrary to what was claimed by the associations of construction owners.
