Algarve has lots to see and hear in August

Festivals and fairs, concerts, exhibitions, entertainment shows, entertainment and entertainment during the month of August.

The Silves Medieval Fair is back for its 15th edition. From August 10th to 19th, horse tournaments, medieval delicacies and dance will take tourists on a timeless journey.

In terms of gastronomy, the highlight is the Sardine Festival in Portimão, which runs from August 1st to August 5th, where sardine is the queen of the party, but accompanied by good music, and also the Olhão Seafood Festival, which runs from 10th to 15th, where you can taste the best bivalves and shellfish from the Ria Formosa.

Like summer nights with great concerts, Guia Algarve is rich in musical proposals. On August 4th, in Loulé,  Ala dos Namorados takes to the stage to celebrate 25th years of his career.

David Carreira presents his musical repertoire at the Garden of Communities in Almancil on the 14th, and a fadista Cuca Rosetta is a special guest at Pine Cliffs Summer Night, on the 5th.

Marked for August 25th, in Largo de São Francisco, in Loulé, is Urban Sunset, with Carolina Torres and Dengaz Concert.

From 18th to 26th, there is another edition of FolkFaro, which shows the songs and dances of the world through parades, street entertainment and shows in the Algarve capital.

At the end of the month, from August 30th to September 1st, Faro hosts Festival F - the last great summer festival, which highlights the best Portuguese music, with concerts by artists such as Áurea, DAMA, Diogo Piçarra, Moonspell, Piruka, Raquel Tavares, Rodrigo Leão, The Gift, among many others.

From August 23rd to 25th, the E.S.T.A.R - Theater and Street Animation Encounters, in Odeceixe (Aljezur), promoted street shows with puppets, short stories or theater of objects and comedy.

The hottest hours are the ideal time to visit the drinks of the whole territory. The painting exhibition "Thoughts to the Flower of the Skin", exhibited as works of vibrant colors by Beth Sales, na Galeria de Arte Pintor Samora Barros, from August 03rd to 28th.

Ripe and mature toys, in turn, enchant them with a piece called "Portuguese Tin Toys", which bring toys such as scooters, tricycles, cars, trains, planes, and other objects of daily life that marked a generation that emerged among the 20s and 60s, before the arrival of plastic. The exhibition can be visited free of charge until 2nd September at the Portimão Museum.

In Tavira, an exhibition "Modern Women in the Work of José de Almada Negreiros" can be seen until October 14 at the Municipal Museum of Tavira | Palace of the Gallery.

The fans make the same move as those that promise the action, as the Portugal Cup Futsal Record that gathers, on 25th and 26th August, as the best teams in the futsal world.

On the weekend of August 4th and 5th, the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve (Portimão) promotes the Family Weekend, an event for the whole family. Access to the circuit, as well as transportation, will be free. Visitors will be able to enjoy a full day at the circuit pool for any cost. However, there is one and a special exercise that is rated as a special price.

On the 18th and 19th, you will be consulted in the Ascent and Descent of the Guadiana sailing, with companies of boats.
